Revolutionary

Greetings Friends,

Rarely do I come across something so cool that I think it is revolutionary. But Eric Whitacre did just that. Check out the video below:

Also, Scott Haines did a wonderful job producing the video. Imagine the possibilities of a virtual choir, band, or anything in music. Granted this is nothing too terribly new, but I have yet to see anything like this until now. An actual choir, with people from all over the world. Let me make a few bullet points of how this can affect the music industry.

- Create a video and put it up on you tube, easy for publishers to see new work and for potential buyers to check it out.
- The composer did not have to fly in hundreds of musicians for a recording session or pay any travel expenses for rehearsals. Eric was able to pick the cream of the crop musicians for his composition too, no matter where they were from.
- Musicians get to work with international artists (via they pass audition) from their own home in front of their computer.

Oh my, Oh my, the list can go on I am sure. If you have any idea. Please comment and share on how this can benefit the music industry!

Daniel
