Country Music - Yikes!

Greetings Friends,

For those of you that know me, this may come as shock. For those of you that don't, pretend it is. You have all probably heard me bash country music and say I am not a fan, except for old school country swing. I never thought I would say this, but I think I may be beginning to like country music. Yikes, that was tough to type... Even harder to think! Damn near impossible to say out loud, which I haven't... yet.

I am playing a friend's recital on Tuesday, and we are playing Braid Paisley's I'll Take You Back and I have been having a blast playing the good ole train beat. This coming weekend I have two country gigs. So maybe I like them because I am getting paid for them? Strong possibility.

However, country music still takes a back seat compared to rock n' roll, jazz, latin, etc. But it is up there and I am excited to play these country music shows. Darn.

I hope all of your jaws have dropped, or are laughing hysterically at how hard it is for me to admit that I am beginning to like Country Music.
